PRESENTATION OF MAURIZI SRL AND ITS CHAIRMANANTONIO MAURIZI

The entrepreneurial success of Antonio Maurizi, chairman of MAURIZIsrl, is not the result of sheer luck.

 

The sixty-year old entrepreneur was born in 1949 in the Marcheregion, in the immediate post-war period marked by heavy reconstruction

andpoverty. At the age of eleven, he started working in local footwear craftworkshops where he developed a love of well-made shoes,

crafted withpainstaking care for every detail and during every single processing stage,from the choice of hides to the end product

itself. The craft workshops andlater the footwear factories were his “school of life” during his twelve yearsof apprenticeship, and in 1972

he set up his own company. The hardworkingspirit of people from the Marche ingrained into him a passion for his work andthat very

philosophy that binds families to their work, the ability to run afamily business, the familiar approach to work ethics (Antonio Maurizi’s

twochildren, Elia Maurizi and Elisa Maurizi work in the company). Thesedeeply-rooted ties to his region and its array of traditions and

wisdom lead tothe reliability and solidity of MAURIZI srl. In time, the company has expandedwhile maintaining its mission unchanged,

 in a synthesis of tradition andinnovation. The company has a current staff of 27 in-house employees, 20external collaborators
